 Lake Stevens Americana Singer/Songwriter Casey Freedom is known for honest lyrics and an old traditional, folk sound. Toting husky guitar chops and a warm, burly voice, he puts a fresh spin on a familiar style that’s both intimate and fun.    

Freedom’s music aims to leave listeners feeling like they’ve walked in his shoes.  He’s an authentic storyteller, reflecting a life of blue collar work, singing in bars, hustling the musician-life on the road, old friendships, and a deep love for his wife and kids. He also tackles hardships like the pandemic and a foreseen apocalypse, all the while with a twist of humor to attempt making it palatable, if not downright entertaining.   Freedom plays in Seattle and regularly all around the greater Washington area. He’s known to perform in California and Canada as well. Whether solo, joined by an accompanist, or with a full band, his performances stay true to the modest down-home tone of his music.   

Freedom is currently self-producing his debut studio album. The record will showcase his full songwriting range by featuring everything from dreamy fingerpicking to twangy string-band, from bluesy distorted guitar to country lap steel. The first single “On My Own Time” came out under his own indie label Raisin' Heck Records in February of this year and already has well over 5K Spotify streams and 900 monthly listeners. The full album is anticipated for release by the end of 2022.
